Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses RotorLog, on any platform. It sits alongside our Terms; if you breach it, we may act under the Terms.
What you must not do
You must not:
- use RotorLog for any unlawful purpose, or to violate anyone's rights;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, damage, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or probe, scan or test its security without our written permission;
- gain or try to gain unauthorised access to any account, system or data, or bypass authentication, usage limits, or access controls;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service, or use bots or automated means except through interfaces we provide;
- upload or transmit malware, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to use;
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to harass, threaten or abuse others;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted.
Integrity of records
RotorLog is a tool for keeping honest records. You must not use it to create false or fraudulent entries in order to deceive a regulator, employer, insurer or any other party, or to misrepresent your qualifications, currency or experience. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for meeting the regulatory requirements that apply to you (see RotorLog is a record-keeping aid).
Use of the AI features
Do not abuse the optional AI features, attempt to circumvent their usage limits, use them to process content you have no right to, or use them to generate unlawful content. AI output is for your review; you remain responsible for what you save and rely on.
Sharing and other people's data
When you share part of your logbook, or add other people's details (such as crew names), you must have the right to do so and must choose an appropriate scope and recipient. Do not use the sharing, connection or organisation features to access, collect or retain data you are not authorised to.
Enforcement
If you breach this policy, we may, depending on the seriousness, warn you, restrict or suspend features, remove offending content, or suspend or terminate your account. For serious or unlawful conduct we may act immediately and without notice, and we may report it to the appropriate authorities. Where proportionate, we will give you notice and a chance to put things right.
Reporting abuse
If you become aware of misuse of the Service, or content that breaches this policy, report it to legal@rotorlog.com and we will look into it.
